Statistics indicate that the predominant cause of fatalities from fires in residential buildings is the ignorance or negligence of citizens regarding safety measures, the so-called human factor – careless and reckless actions of citizens.

In order to enhance the safety level of the population, the Ministry of Emergency Situations from April 15 to May 1, 2024 is conducting a nationwide fire prevention campaign to prevent fires and fatalities from them in residential buildings "For Safety Together".

The campaign is supported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Information, the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Energy, and the Belarusian Volunteer Fire Society.

The focus of the campaign is on inspecting the fire safety condition of the homes of lonely and elderly citizens living alone, people with disabilities, and families with children in socially dangerous situations, conducting instructive and explanatory work with citizens on compliance with fire safety rules, and informing the population about the services provided by state organizations to ensure their safety.
Additionally, as part of the campaign, we encourage citizens to contact territorial bodies and units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for an inspection of the fire safety condition of their housing.

We invite all citizens to participate in the campaign!

Check the operability of autonomous fire alarms; if they are absent, install them in the living spaces of your homes (apartments). In preparation for the new heating season, monitor the condition of heating equipment in your homes and electrical wiring.
Do not forget about your relatives and loved ones living in villages. Visit elderly parents. Check how safe their housing is.
