The autonomous fire alarm is an effective and reliable means of protection for your home!
Today, everyone is aware of the existence of autonomous fire alarms. The necessity of their installation has long been beyond doubt; however, many people still do not clearly understand the importance of this device and what it can do to timely alert about danger and provide an opportunity to save lives and property from fire.
Practice shows that in households equipped with autonomous fire alarms, the level of safety for the residents increases significantly. In 2020 alone, thanks to the activation of fire alarms in the Vitebsk region, 24 people were saved, including 3 children. This year, 27 people have already been saved, including 5 children.
On February 21 at 8:11, a report of a fire in an apartment on Francysk Skaryna Street in the city of Polotsk was received by the emergency services. When rescuers arrived at the scene, there was heavy smoke coming from the window of an apartment on the 4th floor of a nine-story residential building. The owner of the apartment, a man born in 1969, lived with his wife born in 1977 and three children: a daughter born in 2012 and two sons born in 2015 and 2016. At the time of the fire, the father and children were in the apartment – sleeping, while the mother had gone to work. Hearing the sound of the activated autonomous fire alarm, the eldest daughter and father discovered a fire in the computer in the room where the children were. Waking the younger ones, the whole family safely left the residence; the man turned off the electricity and attempted to extinguish the fire himself, but due to heavy smoke, this was impossible. The ambulance team took the children to the hospital for health diagnostics. The fire was extinguished by the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees; the walls in the apartment were blackened, and property was damaged. An investigation is underway regarding this incident, and the cause of the fire is being determined. The version being considered is a violation of the rules for the operation of electrical networks and equipment (short circuit of the computer).

We believe that no additional arguments are needed regarding the necessity of installing an autonomous fire alarm. And we agree that its cost, which is just over 10 rubles, is incomparable to the price of the consequences that fires bring, destroying property accumulated over the years and sometimes taking human lives.
The fire alarm is sensitive even to slight smoke in the room, which contributes to the rapid detection of fire at an early stage of its development. When smoke appears, it emits a powerful sound signal that can alert and even wake a sleeping person.
Installing the alarm does not require special knowledge or skills. A detailed instruction manual is included, containing all the necessary information about installation, device, and operating rules. It is recommended to install the fire alarm in the central part of the ceiling with a slight offset towards the window or door – where constant air exchange is ensured. A successful solution may be to connect alarms into a single network with neighboring houses or apartments or to output the alarm signal to a light-sound device placed on the facade of the house. If the owners of the house where the fire occurred do not respond to the signal, passersby or neighbors, whose alarms are activated simultaneously, will raise the alarm. View all
