The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs According to operational data from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as of April 20, 2023, 87 people have drowned in the republic under various circumstances, including 4 minors.

It should be noted that every year, with the onset of the swimming season, there is an increase in incidents related to the death and rescue of citizens in the water while swimming, including minors. Thus, in 2022, 390 people drowned in the republic under various circumstances, including 26 minors (of which 102 drowned while swimming, including 15 minors, and 71 drowned after falling into the water, including 4 minors).
 
It is prohibited to: 

• swim in prohibited areas, including flooded quarries, melioration canals, ponds, technological water bodies, in places where ports, dams, sluices, and other hydraulic structures are located, as well as during nighttime;
• consume alcoholic and low-alcohol beverages on the beaches;
• swim while intoxicated and/or under the influence of narcotic substances, psychotropic substances, their analogs, toxic or other intoxicating substances;
• swim beyond the boundaries marking the beach area;
• use sports equipment, boards, loungers, logs, car tires, inflatable mattresses, or other objects for swimming;
• jump into the water from vessels, floating objects, as well as from bridges, piers, dams, and other hydraulic structures.
• engage in water games involving diving and capturing swimmers, as well as performing other actions that may cause accidents;
• allow minor children to visit the beach without adult supervision;
• leave minor children unattended;
• signal false alarms, etc.
