Fires are not decreasing, and people continue to perish. The main cause of tragic fire incidents lurks for another careless smoker. Rescuers provided examples of recent emergencies, discussed the operational situation in the region, explained how to avoid becoming a victim of a harmful habit, how to secure one’s home and life from fire, what requirements are imposed on heating, gas, and electrical equipment, how to go into the forest without getting lost, and how to behave when encountering wild animals. They also talked about the campaign "Don't Wait for the Squirrel. Extinguish the Cigarette Butt."
In conclusion of the meeting, representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations urged villagers to follow safety rules, pay close attention to heating equipment, and handed out preventive leaflets.
