Braslav. On Safety for Villagers
This week, representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations conducted educational activities with residents of the Akhremavetskiy rural council. The cause of last year's tragic fires is always the same: careless handling of fire, namely, an unextinguished cigarette. But is it really that simple? The cigarette itself does not ignite. The same situation applies to heating, gas, electrical equipment, and everything else without which modern life is impossible. How can one achieve harmony and avoid becoming a victim of another fire? It is both simple and complex at the same time. One must know and follow safety rules throughout life, not neglect them when constructing housing, installing and operating stoves, electrical appliances, and other equipment. Therefore, rescuers assessed all the fires that occurred in the region, identified their causes, reminded about the importance of autonomous fire alarms, typical violations in the installation and operation of heating equipment, actions in case of fire, and emergency service phone numbers. They also discussed the mobile application "Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus."
"Help is nearby!" in a playful manner revealed the secret and formula of safety. They warned villagers against burning dry vegetation and reminded them of the rules for burning waste. They also discussed the situation at water bodies, the dangers of spring ice, and urged not to take risks and not to go out on it. Only by following safety rules through personal example can one prevent and minimize the consequences of emergencies.
