The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs For some, summer is a time for vacations and long-awaited rest, while for farmers, it is a time of intense labor. People and machinery are in constant motion, feed harvesting has long gained momentum, and the grain harvest is approaching.     

Representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations continue their preventive work and today have gone to the locations of feed harvesting and storage. Whether it is repair workshops or feed storage sites, working machinery in the field, or farms – respecting and adhering to safety rules is essential everywhere. The task is complicated by the established hot and dry weather. An unextinguished cigarette, faulty or contaminated equipment can provoke a fire, while the absence or unsuitability of primary fire extinguishing means will hinder a prompt response to a fire. Therefore, when meeting with agricultural workers, rescuers urged everyone to follow safety rules at work and at home, to smoke only in designated areas, reminded them of emergency service phone numbers and the order of immediate actions in case of a fire, and the specifics of using primary fire extinguishing means. They also emphasized the importance of equipping machinery with fire extinguishers, keeping it clean, and timely cleaning from flammable deposits. They discussed the mobile application of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, its sections, and its benefits for adults and children. A key theme was the safety of children, the inadmissibility of leaving them unattended, and their adherence to safety rules on water and in forests.
