Despite the negative nighttime temperatures, it is sunny and windy outside. Such conditions contribute to the drying of last year's vegetation. In order to prevent spring grass fires, representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are conducting active preventive work.
This week, rescuers met with residents of the village of Akhremovtsy at a car shop, as well as with employees of the KUSP "Vidzovsky". The main task is to convince rural residents to maintain order in their yards while adhering to safety rules. They explained how to burn waste, at what distance from buildings and plantations it is safe to light a fire, and what to do if a fire starts – among other things. They also distributed informational leaflets and provided examples of previous incidents of burning dry vegetation in the region.
