The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs The state of fire safety in a household is directly related to the culture of living. If the owners are tidy, maintain order in their home, and treat their property and equipment with care, then their safety is also in good condition. 

This week, the inspection commission of the Akhremavetskiy Rural Executive Committee, which included representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, police, electric networks, and gas service, visited the households of lonely individuals and pensioners, as well as those who abuse alcohol and commit domestic offenses. Special attention was paid to heating and gas equipment, electrical wiring, and the presence and functionality of autonomous fire alarms. Despite their age and health issues, pensioners are not ashamed of their homes. However, those who are younger and healthier but have problems with alcohol have nothing to be proud of. Stoves are worn out, empty bottles and cigarette butts are on the floor, and there are burn marks from unextinguished cigarettes on bedding and upholstered furniture. There is disorder not only in the house but also in the yard. Behind promises to fix everything in the near future lies complete indifference and a lack of understanding of the dangers of smoking in the home while intoxicated.

However, there are improvements. Autonomous fire alarms are present in all households. Yes, in some cases the batteries have run down, but this is fixable. The inspection commissions are persistent and will revisit those where violations were found. Additionally, all homeowners have been informed about the inadmissibility of burning dry vegetation at the root, the rules for burning waste, and building bonfires, and thematic leaflets have been distributed.
