Braslav. Large-scale prevention and launch of the campaign

In order to prevent fires and the loss of life due to them in the housing stock, a preventive campaign was held in the Braslav district from February 26 to March 1.

Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations visited the homes of lonely elderly citizens living alone, as well as citizens prone to alcohol abuse. Additionally, as part of the campaign, rescuers organized village meetings in the Opsa and Plyussa rural councils.

On March 1, Braslav rescuers, together with colleagues from the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, visited the households of categorized citizens. They held discussions with the residents explaining the requirements of fire safety rules, outlined the main causes of fires, and reminded them of the rules for operating stoves, heat-generating appliances, electrical devices, the risks of smoking in the home, and the rules for safely lighting bonfires. An important reminder for many citizens was the necessity to periodically check the operability of autonomous fire alarms.

The republican campaign "Safety Day. Attention to All!" was also launched. At the State Educational Institution "Opsa Secondary School of the Braslav District", employees of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations conducted several safety lessons, where they not only taught children how to act on the signal "Attention to All!" but also shared much about safety in general.

The finale of the event at the school was a quest "Emergency Situation", as well as a "water show" by the rescuers.
