Ministry of Emergency Situations informs Public awareness of the operational situation, the causes of fires and their consequences, methods of protection, and actions in various emergency situations plays an important role in preventive work.

In order to minimize risks both at the workplace and at home, today the Deputy Head of the Vitebsk Emergency Situations Department, S.N. Markevich, met with employees of the State Production Unit "Braslav Lakes" and the Production Unit "braslavgaz". He reminded them of the importance of adhering to both safety and fire safety regulations directly at the workplace and at home. An unextinguished cigarette or match, faulty equipment, or violations of technological processes can provoke a fire, which will be difficult to extinguish. However, life does not end with work. Everyone has a home and loved ones. Adhering to safety rules should be a priority there as well. This is confirmed by alarming statistics and tragic examples of fires. Participants in the meeting were once again reminded of the importance of installing autonomous fire alarms in residential premises, actions to take in case of fire, emergency service phone numbers, and rules for using primary fire extinguishing means. Sergey Nikolaevich elaborated on child safety, the dangers of spring ice, and the inadmissibility of burning dry vegetation.
