Braslav. On Safety at the OPAP Councils

As part of the first stage of the republican campaign "Safety - in Every Home!" employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations focused on individuals abusing alcoholic beverages and smoking in residential premises.

During the meetings of the Public Order Protection Councils, representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations emphasize to smokers that the next cigarette smoked may be the last and lead to tragic consequences. Examples of this are the sad statistics and the slides showing the ashes from such fires in their own area. Participants in the campaign also learn about the dynamics of fire development due to an unextinguished cigarette, the immediate actions to take in case of a fire, emergency service phone numbers, the benefits of autonomous fire alarms through examples of their positive activations, and how to use a fire extinguisher. The informational campaign targeting avid smokers continues with the films "Cigarette – the Main Cause of Fires" and "Safety on Ice." Winter ice is treacherous, and it is useful to know how to behave in case of falling through and how to assist someone who is drowning.

All participants in the campaign received thematic handouts in addition to knowledge, as well as wishes for safety in their homes.
