Training in safety rules is an integral part of maintaining fire safety in any collective. The promptness and correctness of actions at the early stage of a fire determine further human safety. This is especially important in places where elderly people and individuals with disabilities live together.

Today, representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as part of the republican campaign "Safety – in Every Home!", met with residents of the round-the-clock care facility in the village of Boruny of the Braslav District Social Services Center. The rescuers discussed recent major fires, provided information on immediate actions upon discovering a fire, evacuation rules, and the inadmissibility of panic and excessive self-confidence. Through the quiz "Safety Secret," the Ministry of Emergency Situations staff reminded about the importance of autonomous fire alarms, the inadmissibility of overloading electrical networks, the dangers of smoking in residences, and the requirements for heating equipment. They also demonstrated, using the film "Dynamics of Fire Development," how quickly a small fire can develop if not extinguished in time.

The knowledge gained will be useful not only while residing in the round-the-clock care facility, as some may return to their homes during the summer period.
