Braslav. Recreation by the water body must be safe

Employees of the Braslav District Department for Emergency Situations, together with representatives of OSVOD and the police, conducted preventive activities to prevent drowning in water bodies.

These activities included a series of raids in both designated swimming areas and locations for those who prefer "quiet" recreation. Rescuers reminded all vacationers of the rules of conduct at the water body, citing concerning statistics, and strongly advised families vacationing with children not to leave them unattended near the water. – Analyzing the statistics, tragedies typically occur in areas not designated for swimming, so we recommend visiting only official beaches, where representatives of OSVOD are always on duty, – explained Sergey Krivko, head of the district emergency department, addressing vacationers by the water bodies.

As part of these activities, rescuers distributed brochures to vacationers containing useful information about recreation by the water bodies.
