Braslav. Students on Safety
As part of the second stage of the republican campaign "Don't Burn Your Life", the head of the Braslav District Department for Emergency Situations, Sergey Krivko, visited the Vidzov State College, where he met with the students of this institution.
– If we look at the statistics of rescuer responses to emergencies, almost all fires occur due to human error, often from a casually discarded cigarette or simple negligence, – began his conversation Sergey Vasilyevich.
– Just in the first ten months of this year, five people have died in our district due to an unextinguished cigarette, and to avoid becoming a victim of fire – follow fire safety rules and quit smoking! – continued the head of the local Ministry of Emergency Situations, urging the students to lead not only a safe lifestyle but also a healthy one.
During the meeting with the students, many relevant topics were raised: compliance with safety rules in the dormitory, careless handling of fire, and the importance of having an autonomous fire alarm in households. The rescuers also addressed the winter topic – Sergey Vasilyevich reminded the students about the prohibition of going onto the ice during its formation, as well as discussed the safe thickness of ice cover on water bodies.
Subsequently, the college students were offered a quiz, during which each participant was able to learn a lot of new and useful information about safety.
