Braslav. Visiting the Rescuers
The children began their acquaintance with the Fire and Rescue Department No. 1 of Braslav at the operational management center. This is where information about emergencies is received, and from here the work of the units is managed. The children already knew which number to call in the Ministry of Emergency Situations and what to say, but seeing the entire process in person was very interesting for them. Then, at the sound of the siren, the guests saw how quickly a firefighter must dress in full gear and even tried to do it themselves. The introduction to firefighting vehicles caused a storm of emotions. The equipment of the fire truck, the height of the aerial ladder, the torrent of water from the nozzle, the operation of hydraulic tools – all of this amazed and delighted them. Everyone had the opportunity to sit in the fire truck, imagining themselves as a driver or a member of the firefighting crew.
The meeting was engaging for the children. They also learned about the actions to take in case of a fire, received commemorative bookmarks with the "Five Steps of Rescue," and the emotions lasted not only for the return journey. In the kindergarten, they shared their impressions for a long time.
