Braslav. In focus – the harvest season

In the Braslav district, preventive measures continue at the sites of harvesting, storage, and processing of the harvest, as well as the equipment involved in the harvesting campaign. During these activities, rescuers visit agricultural organizations in the district.

Special attention from the Ministry of Emergency Situations staff is focused on the fire safety conditions at the sites of operation of grain and forage harvesters, the availability of primary fire extinguishing means, as well as the accompaniment of grain harvesters by specialized equipment for firefighting purposes. Additional training sessions on extinguishing a simulated fire have been conducted with members of volunteer fire brigades, and actions have been practiced in case of emergencies.

As part of the instructional and explanatory work, rescuers conduct additional briefings and preventive talks, providing examples of violations of fire safety requirements from previous years that led to material losses, and once again remind agricultural workers of the main fire safety requirements during the harvesting campaign and the procedures to follow in case of a fire. Compliance with these rules is crucial for the preservation of equipment and the harvest, both in the field and at processing and storage sites.
