Braslav. For Safety Together
Statistics indicate that the main cause of fatalities from fires in residential buildings is the so-called human factor. Careless and reckless actions of citizens, ignorance of safety rules, or deliberate disregard for safety measures often lead to tragic consequences. As part of the campaign "For Safety Together," employees of the Braslav District Emergency Situations Department are conducting extensive preventive work to remind residents of the district about the rules of life safety and to encourage responsible adherence to these rules.
While communicating with homeowners, rescuers provide recommendations on making homes safe and answer all citizens' pressing questions.
Rules for operating heating stoves and electrical appliances, safety measures when tidying up household plots, the inadmissibility of smoking in bed, and precautions when handling fire – these and many other questions were addressed by representatives of the "101" service while talking to the residents of Braslav. Special attention was paid by the Ministry of Emergency Situations to the availability and functionality of autonomous fire alarms.
– This small device will respond to smoke in a timely manner and warn of danger, – rescuers note.
Additionally, as part of the preventive campaign, employees of the district emergency situations department conducted training for workers in the housing and communal services sector, as well as for those providing social and medical assistance at home to elderly, lonely, and disabled citizens, and families raising children on measures to prevent fires and other emergencies, and actions to take in case of their occurrence.
