The activities of the district prosecutor's office in the framework of oversight for compliance with legislation regarding the use of meliorated lands
The Prosecutor's Office of Braslaŭ District conducted an inspection of compliance with legislative requirements during the implementation of land reclamation activities.
The results of the inspection showed that responsible entities are allowing systemic deficiencies and violations of legislative requirements.
During the examination of reclamation systems, it was established that the cleaning of channels is not being carried out properly, leading to the overgrowth of reclamation systems with weeds.
Instances of ineffective use of reclaimed lands were identified, which also leads to the overgrowth of lands with woody and shrubby vegetation.
Planned activities for involving lands in agricultural circulation are not being fully implemented, and independent initiatives to improve soil fertility by agricultural enterprises are practically not being realized.
The fundamental causes of this negative situation are the mismanagement by officials of agro-industrial enterprises in the use of agricultural lands, their disinterest in obtaining economic benefits, and insufficient oversight of their activities by supervisory services.
As a result of the inspection, the district prosecutor's office submitted a representation to the Braslaŭ District Executive Committee, indicating the need for immediate measures to involve the land plots mentioned in the representation, where reclamation works were carried out, into economic circulation, as well as to ensure proper state control over the protection and use of drained land plots.
