Unified Safety Day

On September 26, a Unified Safety Day will be held in Belarus. The main organizers of the event are the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health, local executive and administrative bodies, as well as public associations, mass media, and other interested organizations.

How often do you think about where the emergency exits are and where you would go in case of a fire when visiting a shopping center, cinema, café, or sports complex? It is beneficial if you are not visiting this place for the first time and have some familiarity, but this does not guarantee that you will not panic in an emergency situation. And what if you are responsible not only for yourself but also for others? Confusion is a "poor advisor" in any situation, especially in an emergency, where the cost of a mistake is life. To be confident in your actions and not succumb to panic, you need to know the correct course of action. It would be useful to develop a habit of mentally reviewing the route to the exit when entering a shopping center, so that if you have doubts, you can quickly find your way out; the answer can always be found on the evacuation plan.

On Unified Safety Day, facility managers will organize practical drills of evacuation plans. How and where to move correctly, what signs to follow to stay alive during a fire and other emergencies, how to properly use primary fire extinguishing equipment and provide first aid – residents of the area will learn this not only theoretically but also practically.

In the city of Braslav, thematic events are scheduled for September 26, 2024, in the pedestrian zone of Stadium Street.

The celebration will feature a series of beloved interactive playgrounds where guests can learn the algorithm for calling the rescue service, the rules for using various fire extinguishing equipment, providing first aid, and actions in other emergencies. Both adults and children will learn what rules to follow to avoid harm during a fire and quickly leave the scene, which phone numbers to call for rescuers, and what information to provide.

With the help of interactive platforms, participants of the Unified Safety Day will be able to practice actions in various emergency situations, increase their knowledge in the field of safety, and also test their knowledge through assessments.
