Despite the fact that heating has already been provided, some create a comfortable temperature for themselves using electric heaters. They are used for heating summer houses, garages, or rooms where there is no heating at all.

Today, the market offers a wide range of electric heaters, among which everyone can choose the most suitable option for themselves. The first thing to remember when choosing a heater is the quality of the product with a manufacturer's warranty. When choosing a seller, preference should be given to reputable large stores. Avoid purchasing electric heaters at markets, temporary kiosks, and especially from individuals. Carefully familiarize yourself with the technical specifications and all necessary documents. Inspect the heater itself – it should not have dents, damage, or strong odors.

Regardless of whether you have chosen a floor or wall heater, it should be placed according to the operating instructions, at least half a meter away from flammable objects.

When placing the electric heater near a window, it is necessary to avoid covering it with curtains that may heat up and catch fire. Floor heaters should be installed on a solid, flat surface.

Another important point is the direct connection of the electric heater to the power supply. When turning on the heater, remember that it is high-power equipment, so the heater should be connected to a stationary outlet to avoid overloading the electrical wiring and short-circuiting.

It was the connection of the electric heater through an extension cord that caused the fire that occurred in March of last year in a summer house in the Vitebsk region. Upon arriving at the summer house, the owner decided to test the new electric convector. After connecting the electrical device using an extension cord, the man went to work in the garden. After a while, he noticed smoke coming from the house. When he entered the house, he saw heavy smoke in the living room where the electric convector was located.

Like any electrical device, the heater requires careful handling. The first thing to do before starting operation is to carefully read the operating instructions.
Never leave an electric heater unattended, including overnight, and do not use them for drying clothes.

Do not allow children to play with electric heaters or near them.

Regularly clean the heater from dust, first disconnecting it from the power supply and allowing it to cool down.
It is important to remember that each device has its own service life, which averages about 10 years. Using it beyond the established period can lead to unfortunate consequences.
Monitor the condition of plugs and sockets to ensure they do not overheat - this is the first sign of a malfunctioning electrical device or network overload.

Keep an eye on the condition of the heating device: repair and replace parts in a timely manner if they are out of order.

Use devices manufactured only industrially. Do not use damaged or homemade electric heaters.

Do not place the heater's power cords under carpets and other coverings, and do not place heavy objects (such as furniture) on the cords – this may damage the insulation.

There are certainly many rules, but it is essential to remember them, as your safety depends on it.
