51 (material) object of historical and cultural values located in the territory of Braslaŭ district has been included in the State List of Historical and Cultural Values of the Republic of Belarus:

Intangible Cultural Values

  • art of "Vytynanka" from Vitebsk region
  • traditional technology of spiral weaving;
  • artistic practice of straw weaving from Vitebsk region;
  • traditions of insit art from Vitebsk region;
  • traditional art of painted carpets from Vitebsk Połesia;
  • traditional dish "Klecki with souls" from Vitebsk region;
  • dishes made from grated potatoes - draniki, potato pancakes, babka, etc. - traditions of preparation and consumption;
  • technology of birch bark weaving for pottery.

In the field of historical and cultural heritage protection, executive authorities are guided by the Culture Code of the Republic of Belarus, which records the main norms of cultural activity in the country, including the protection of historical and cultural heritage.

The functions of monitoring the implementation of legislation in this area are directly assigned to the culture sector of the Braslaŭ District Executive Committee.

The prosecution authorities actively participate in the preservation of historical and cultural heritage. In 2011, an agreement on joint actions for the protection of historical and cultural heritage was signed at the level of the Ministry of Culture and the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Belarus.
