A story with a tragic ending: two minors drowned in the Zhabin district.

On February 9 at 23:40, rescuers received a message from the duty officer of the district police department about the need for assistance in searching for two minors in the agrotown of Vialikija Jakavicy in the Zhabińka district.

According to preliminary information, the boys, born in 2014 and 2016, did not return home in the evening. The last time the brothers were seen playing was by neighbors around 17:00. The alarm was raised by their grandmother, who contacted the police for help.

A total of 12 units of equipment and 50 personnel were involved in the search, including 8 units of equipment and 20 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

On February 10 at 00:40, during the examination of the area of the settlement, rescuers found the drowned children in an artificial pond with a depth of 1.5 m (ice thickness – 1-2 cm) on the backyard of an uninhabited neighboring house on Central Street. They were discovered on the surface of the water in a hole at a distance of about 3 meters from the shore.

The circumstances of the incident are being established.
