The Prosecutor's Office of the Braslaŭ District supported the state prosecution in court in the criminal case against a 54-year-old resident of the Braslaŭ District, T., who is accused of using a knowingly forged official document that grants rights, committed repeatedly.

As established during the court investigation, T., intending to use a knowingly forged official document that grants rights – a passport of a citizen of the Republic of Georgia, intentionally used the aforementioned forged document with the aim of obtaining a residence permit, employment, opening a bank account, and obtaining a BPC. As a result, he received a residence permit in the territory of the Republic of Belarus, a current (settlement) account was opened in his name, and a BPC was obtained, and he was also officially employed.

The accused T. did not admit his guilt and explained that he did not know that the passport was forged.

According to the protocols of operational-search activities, investigative actions, witness testimonies, and other written materials of the criminal case examined during the court investigation, T.'s guilt in using a knowingly forged official document that grants rights, committed repeatedly, is proven in full.

Considering the evidence presented by the state prosecutor, the court of the Braslaŭ District issued a guilty verdict and, based on paragraphs 1 and 2 of Article 380 of the Criminal Code, sentenced the accused T. to a penalty of arrest for a period of 3 months.

The court's verdict has not entered into legal force and may be appealed and contested in the appellate procedure.
