A resident of the Braslaŭ district committed a crime, as defined by Article 186 of the Criminal Code, in an attempt to restore his broken family.

The Prosecutor's Office of the Braslaŭ district supported the state prosecution at an off-site court session held at the Vidzova Rural Executive Committee regarding the criminal case against Y. for committing a crime as defined by Article 186 of the Criminal Code – making threats of murder when there were grounds to fear its realization.

During the court investigation, it was established that the man, while intoxicated, during a conflict with his wife, brandished an axe and intentionally threatened her with murder, expressing his intention to kill her. The wife perceived this threat as real and fled to a neighbor's house, but fortunately, the axe only frightened her, and no other harm was done to anyone.

At the court session, Y. fully admitted his guilt in the crime attributed to him under Article 186 of the Criminal Code. Together with the conclusions of expert examinations, protocols of investigative actions, and other written materials of the case, thoroughly examined during the court investigation, Y.'s guilt in committing the crime defined by Article 186 of the Criminal Code was proven in full.

Considering the position of the state prosecution, the court found Y. guilty of committing a crime as defined by Article 186 of the Criminal Code and sentenced him to corrective labor at his place of work with a deduction of 15% of his salary, but not less than one basic unit, monthly to the state revenue for a period of 1 year.

The verdict has not yet entered into legal force and may be appealed and contested in the appellate procedure.
