Braslav District Committee of the Public Association "BRSM"

The Public Association "Belarusian Republican Youth Union" is the legal successor of the Komsomol of Belarus, the Union of Youth of Belarus, the Belarusian Patriotic Union of Youth, and the Belarusian Union of Youth. The decision to establish it was made on September 6, 2002, at the unifying congress. Any citizen of the Republic of Belarus, stateless persons, as well as foreign citizens permanently residing in the Republic of Belarus, aged from 14 to 31 years, who recognize the Charter and program documents of the Public Association "BRSM" can become a member of the BRSM.

The goal of the BRSM is to create conditions for the comprehensive development of youth, to reveal their creative potential, and to promote the development of civil society in the Republic of Belarus based on patriotic and spiritual-moral values. The Belarusian Republican Youth Union unites in its ranks concerned individuals, those who do not intend to sit idly by, but are ready to apply their efforts and use their abilities to make their lives and the lives of their peers more interesting, brighter, and more meaningful.

Each of us has ideas, plans, and creative projects. They can be realized with like-minded people. Every young person should have the opportunity to be heard, to discuss issues that concern them with other interested individuals (peers, representatives of the older generation, experts, representatives of the authorities), to learn what they can do to solve existing problems, and to receive support for their further actions. The BRSM is truly a united youth union. Working in it, we act not only as residents of our city, students of our school, but also as representatives of Belarusian youth. We feel ourselves to be part of our Motherland, part of the Republic of Belarus.
