In our country, cases of child fatalities and injuries are recorded every year. Often, the decisive factor in the occurrence of such incidents is the lack of supervision by adults. Sometimes calls for attention do not yield the desired results, remain unheard, and parents, in turn, pay little attention to teaching children basic safety rules. Worse still, they sometimes set an example of unsafe behavior themselves.

To once again draw parents' attention to this existing social problem, employees of the Scientific Research Institute of Fire Safety and Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus approached this issue on a large scale and created a new information campaign "Be Close to Your Child!", the implementation of which will represent a new approach to solving this complex task.

The new information campaign, aimed at preventing child fatalities in fires and water bodies, will launch nationwide in August. It is based on the established opinion of parents monitoring their children through their phones and demonstrates situations where a child finds themselves in danger, while the parent can only call but not help. At the same time, in the creation of outdoor advertising, there is no demonstration of a child in immediate danger. The role is taken by a child's smartphone. It is the phone that ends up at the center of the tragedy. This is where the main idea lies: behind what seems to be a bright picture – the phone, which has replaced the presumed child in the frame – hides a very important message, which is revealed in a concise slogan. "The Phone Will Not Watch Over Your Child!" – this phrase, combined with the visual, fully illustrates the consequences of irresponsible attitudes towards children's safety. It is this catchy slogan, combined with an unconventional image, that is the most effective way to "capture" the target audience's attention on the raised issue and urge them to take action.
