Monitoring New Year

Employees of the Braslav District Department for Emergency Situations conducted monitoring of fire safety conditions at venues for New Year events in educational institutions of preschool and general secondary education in the district from December 12 to December 16, 2022, as part of the preparation for New Year and Christmas celebrations. During the monitoring, issues of compliance with fire safety regulations at the venues, the condition of evacuation routes and exits of the entire facility, and the functionality and operability of fire automation systems were examined.

During the monitoring, violations of the "General Fire Safety Requirements for the Maintenance and Operation of Capital Structures (Buildings, Constructions), Isolated Premises and Other Facilities Owned by Economic Entities" approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated November 23, 2017 No. 7 and other regulatory legal acts were identified at the facilities:

State Educational Institution "Braslav Gymnasium":
- there is no device for self-closing the door of the evacuation exit to the stairwell on the first floor;
- the locks on the doors leading from the assembly hall and the external evacuation doors are not equipped with the possibility of free opening from the inside without a key.

State Educational Institution "Braslav Secondary School No. 1 named after A.M. Zhdanova":
- the lock on the external evacuation exit door from the assembly hall is not equipped with the possibility of free opening from the inside without a key.

State Educational Institution "Kindergarten No. 1 of Braslav":
- there is no device for self-closing the door of the evacuation exit to the stairwell on the second floor;
- the lock on the external evacuation exit door from the kindergarten building is not equipped with the possibility of free opening from the inside without a key;
- evacuation plans for people in case of fire in the school building do not comply with the form established by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

State Educational Institution "Kindergarten No. 2 of Braslav":
- evacuation plans for people in case of fire in the school building do not comply with the form established by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

State Educational Institution "Kindergarten No. 3 of Braslav":
- devices for self-closing the evacuation exit doors to the stairwell have been removed.

State Educational Institution of Additional Education "Braslav Center for Children and Youth"
- evacuation plans for people in case of fire in the school building do not comply with the form established by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

State Educational Institution "Opsa Secondary School of Braslav District":
- devices for self-closing the evacuation exit doors to the stairwell have been removed.

All identified violations were promptly addressed during the monitoring. Consultative assistance was provided to the heads of organizations in ensuring fire safety of facilities, organizing duty shifts during New Year events, conducting fire safety briefings, and practicing evacuation plans in case of fire.
