Monitoring of fire safety status

The Inspection and Prevention Sector of the Braslav Emergency Situations Ministry conducted monitoring of fire safety conditions at the state educational institution "Kindergarten No. 2 of Braslav" and the state institution "Braslav Social Boarding House 'Ozyorny'" in September 2024.

During the monitoring of the aforementioned facilities, violations of the "General Fire Safety Requirements for the Maintenance and Operation of Capital Structures (Buildings, Constructions), Isolated Premises, and Other Facilities Owned by Economic Entities" approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 7 dated 23.11.2017 "On the Development of Entrepreneurship" (hereinafter - GFSR), and the Resolution of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus dated 21.12.2021 No. 82 "On Ensuring Fire Safety" (hereinafter - MES No. 82) and other regulatory legal acts were identified.

As a result of the monitoring, recommendations were provided to the management for addressing the identified violations, which included the following proposed measures for implementation:

State Institution "Braslav Social Boarding House 'Ozyorny'"

- ensure that the lock on the door located on the evacuation routes of the boarding house can be freely opened from the inside without a key;
- organize training for employees operating heat-generating equipment according to fire safety minimum programs;
- develop a section on the operation of heat-generating equipment in the general facility instruction;
- ensure the presence of a 10% reserve of the installed necessary fire protection equipment (fire detectors) on the site;
- bring the fire automation systems installed in the dining room, administrative building, and garages into working condition.
