A district clean-up event took place in Braslaŭ.
The most crowded place was the hillfort in the historical center of Braslav. Here, leaves and grass were raked, slopes were cleaned, and shrubs were trimmed. The workforce consisted of representatives from the fields of culture and sports, the national park, municipal and road services, energy workers, rescuers, and others.
Throughout the Saturday, chainsaws and trimmers were constantly in use, and the roar of tractor engines could be heard: more than 50 people and five units of equipment were working simultaneously. Meanwhile, the city was bustling: residents of Braslav were cleaning Soviet, Sadovaya, Lenin, Buloychik, October, Jubilee, Dzerzhinsky, May 1, Brick streets… Tons of sand and other debris were collected, removed, and disposed of.
All rural councils, many individual homeowners, and labor collectives joined the common cause. The positive result of the work done became evident almost immediately.
