In a fire in the Shumilino district, two men died due to negligence while smoking.

On January 3, at 20:39, firefighters received a report of a fire in a residential house in the village of Tsevyi, Shumilino district.

Upon arrival at the scene, the Ministry of Emergency Situations units observed an open flame in the house, and the roof had collapsed. During the firefighting efforts, the Ministry of Emergency Situations workers discovered the bodies of two men: the homeowner born in 1982 and a local resident born in 1974 who was visiting.

As a result of the fire, the roof, ceiling, and property in the house were destroyed, and the walls were damaged. An investigation is underway regarding this incident, and the cause of the fire is being determined. The version being considered is negligence in handling fire while smoking by one of the deceased.
