In anticipation of the new academic year, issues of ensuring safety take on special significance. In this regard, the district prosecutor's office has intensified oversight of compliance with legislation on student safety.

In the 2021/2022 academic year, 26 educational institutions will operate in the Braslav district: a gymnasium, 3 secondary schools, 4 complexes of "nursery-kindergarten-secondary school", 2 complexes of "nursery-kindergarten-primary school", 11 preschool institutions, a center for children and youth, a center for corrective and developmental education and rehabilitation, a socio-pedagogical center, the Vidzov family-type children's home, and the Vidzov State Vocational College. The planned number of students in general secondary education institutions is 2351, and the number of preschool institution pupils is 805.
To ensure the quality preparation of educational institutions for the academic year, a commission for the acceptance of the readiness of educational institutions has been established by the order of the chairman of the district executive committee, which includes: the deputy chairman of the district executive committee, officials from the education department, and other specialists. In August of this year, the commission conducted an inspection of the readiness of educational institutions in the district for the new academic year.
According to the readiness passports of educational institutions, no gross violations of safety legislation were found. All educational institutions in the Braslav district are ready to accept students.
At the same time, it should be remembered that the responsibility for ensuring safe conditions for the life and health of minors lies not only with educational institutions and other state bodies but also with legal representatives, namely parents, who are legally obliged to monitor the behavior of their children in everyday life.
