One of the main holidays for all believers is the Resurrection of Christ (Easter)

Traditionally, on this day, large-scale religious events will take place, in which a significant number of parishioners will participate. On the day of the Easter celebration, a large number of believers will gather in churches.
         Therefore, the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations strongly recommend adhering to the following rules:

• When preparing Easter cakes and festive dishes, handle gas and electric household appliances with care to avoid causing a fire in the kitchen;
• Follow fire safety rules when using electrical appliances, monitor the condition of electrical networks, refrain from using non-standard heating devices, and do not allow open wiring of electrical cables along combustible structures.
• Be extremely cautious with electric garlands that decorate the internal structural elements of churches and cathedrals, iconostases, and individual images.
• Do not use extension cords, do not connect electrical wires with a regular "twist", do not use so-called "bugs" in electrical fuses, as this may lead to a large-scale fire.
• During worship services in churches, do not crowd near emergency exits, do not push. Do not park your vehicles near evacuation routes, entrances, or sources of fire-fighting water supply.
• Place the candle in the Easter basket in such a way that the flame does not touch the polyethylene or the weaving of the basket.
• Familiarize yourself with the layout of the prayer hall and the church building as a whole, to know the evacuation routes, which must be several, and all exit doors must be open;
• In case of fire alarm activation and notification of a fire, do not panic, leave the prayer hall quickly, but without creating panic and a crush.
• If the room fills with smoke or there is no lighting, try to move towards the exit while holding onto the walls. Breathe through a handkerchief or the sleeve of your clothing; lead children ahead of you, holding them by the shoulders.
• When in places with a mass gathering of people, pay attention to unattended items, bags, as well as suspicious individuals. In case of danger – urgently call 101, 102.
• If you come to the church with a child, keep a close eye on them. Try to maintain a safe distance from other parishioners holding lit candles;
• Do not leave children, elderly, and senior citizens unattended;
• Hold a piece of paper or a handkerchief under the candle to prevent hot wax from dripping onto your skin, and to avoid instinctively jerking your hand and dropping the burning candle on your clothing;
• In case of clothing catching fire, quickly remove it, try to extinguish the flames with a fire extinguisher or cover it with a thick material;
• Be careful when lighting candles from candle holders, roll up the sleeves of your clothing, ensure that the candle cannot tip over, the candle holder must stand upright, not wobble, and the candle must be securely fixed in it;
• Tie back scarves and remove hair to reduce the risk of the candle flame catching on them when bending your head;
• Do not ignite flammable items and liquids instead of candles, such as celluloid toys, matches, and lighters;
• Upon returning home from church, place the candle in a fireproof candle holder away from flammable items.
• Always extinguish the candle when you leave the room or go to bed;
• When resting outdoors, do not leave burning campfires, extinguish cigarette butts to prevent fires.

Rescuers note: it is easier to prevent a fire than to extinguish it, but if trouble occurs – do not panic under any circumstances. The event must be immediately reported to the emergency rescue service by calling "101" or "112", and before the firefighters arrive, independently begin extinguishing the fire using primary fire extinguishing means.
