Dangerous Period

Prosecutor's Office News

With the onset of winter cold, all interested authorities and services in the district have intensified their efforts to prevent accidents involving children. Typically, during the winter period, due to adverse weather conditions and citizens' negligence regarding their own safety, the number of individuals who die or sustain injuries from external causes increases. Citizens drown in water bodies while trying to fish on unstable ice, and they suffer injuries in road traffic accidents, forgetting the rules of the road.

Due to the specific weather conditions and the onset of winter holidays in schools, in order to prevent crimes and offenses by minors, the district prosecutor's office has taken additional measures to ensure the rights of minors.

Thus, in execution of the instructions of the district prosecutor's office, employees of the Braslav Emergency Situations Department conducted inspections of educational institutions in the district where festive events are planned, to check the compliance of premises and the level of organization of mass events with fire safety requirements. Corresponding instructions were also given to the Braslav District Police Department, the Department of Education, Sports and Tourism, and the Commission for Minors of the Braslav District Executive Committee. In January, the district prosecutor's office plans to inspect educational institutions for compliance with sanitary and hygienic requirements regarding temperature conditions.

Special attention is paid to disadvantaged families, large families, and other families in the accounting categories raising minor children. Throughout the winter period, these families will be visited by interested services at their place of residence, preventive conversations will be held with parents, and immediate measures will be taken upon detection of violations, including the removal of children from families in case of threats to their life and health.

It should not be forgotten that during the holidays, children spend most of their time out of the sight of teachers and parents, so it is important to plan the child's holidays wisely, engaging them in active recreation or socially useful work to shield them from the negative influence of the streets.

In order to protect the rights and legitimate interests of children and to prevent emergencies, the work of all prevention entities in the district has been intensified; however, it should not be forgotten that the safety of children primarily depends on their parents, who are obliged by law to ensure safe conditions for their life and health.
