Some people succumb to panic, start screaming, and run around the office, further complicating the situation for themselves and those nearby - a chain reaction occurs. Others simply freeze in place and do not take any actions to save themselves. Small children, when faced with danger, hide under beds, desks in kindergartens, or in closets.
To minimize the consequences of an emergency situation for people, it is necessary to periodically develop certain skills. To practice the evacuation plan, it is essential to involve the fire brigade. The training should begin with the activation of the fire alarm system. Upon the signal "Attention, fire, leave the premises according to the evacuation plan..." (it may vary, but the meaning is the same). All employees must leave their workplaces, put on outer clothing, and exit the premises, while members of the fire brigade should manage the flow of people and indicate the nearest evacuation exit. After exiting to the street, members of the fire brigade should check if everyone has left the building and report this to the exercise supervisor. Thus, employees will know which signal indicates they need to leave their workplaces, the nearest evacuation exits, and the fire brigade members will practice their interaction and skills in directing people to the exits of the building.
