In the territory of the village council, 838 people live in 83 settlements. The center of the Pluski village council is the agro-town Plusy, which is located 27 kilometers from the city of Braslav.
The Rural Council borders the Republic of Latvia, the Mezhan, Slobodkov and Druyev Rural Councils.
The length of the border is 106.4 km. A significant part of the territory is part of the State Production Unit "National Park" "Braslav Lakes", where 23 lakes are located.
On the territory of the village council are located: 1 store, 3 feldsher-midwife points, 1 post office, a branch of the "Pluski Rural House of Culture", Plusy Library, military unit "Plusy", fire emergency rescue post "Plusy", "Department of round-the-clock stay for the elderly and disabled in v. Boruny".
