Government Award of the Republic of Belarus for Special Achievements in Various Sectors of the Country's Economy
By the resolution of the Council of Ministers dated June 28, 2024, No. 455 "On Stimulating Achievements in the Field of Economic Development" (Appendix 1), the Government Awards of the Republic of Belarus for Special Achievements in Various Sectors of the Country's Economy (hereinafter referred to as the Government Awards) have been established.
The Government Awards will be presented starting from 2025.
Annually, two Government Awards will be granted in two nominations on a competitive basis:
for significant contributions to the development of production and the service sector;
for achievements in the field of science.
One Government Award may be granted to one individual or a group of no more than 6 people. The amount of the award is 1000 basic units.
The Government Award for significant contributions to the development of production and the service sector is awarded for outstanding results in production management, ensuring and improving product quality, implementing new progressive management methods, and producing new or improved competitive goods (works, services) while meeting general and specific conditions (criteria).
The award for achievements in the field of science will be presented for the completion of R&D in the interests of sectoral organizations or for sectoral technological development, resulting in the creation of new scientific and technical products, the implementation in production of high-tech export-oriented innovations, and the release of newly mastered products with high economic efficiency based on this.
The Regulation on the Government Awards of the Republic of Belarus for Special Achievements in Various Sectors of the Country's Economy, approved by the resolution of the Council of Ministers dated June 28, 2024, No. 455, establishes the general and specific conditions (for a specific category) for granting Government Awards, and a brief regulation is attached.
As part of the implementation of the function of ensuring coordination of work on the presentation of Government Awards, the Ministry of Economy has prepared Methodological Recommendations for Nominating Candidates for the Awards.
