According to the latest data, Belarusian farmers have harvested 149,900 tonnes of vegetables, with the yields (exclusive of peas) at 362.4 centners per hectare. A total of 5,130 hectares of areas were cleared, which is 97% of the plan, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.
Belarusian agricultural enterprises gathered in over 10.17 million tonnes of grain, including rapeseed. Minsk Oblast topped the chart with 2.8169 million tonnes of grain threshed. It was followed by Grodno Oblast with 2.2899 million tonnes, Brest Oblast with 2.0788 million tonnes, Mogilev Oblast with 1.1183 million tonnes, Gomel Oblast with 997,700 tonnes, and Vitebsk Oblast with 871,600 tonnes.
Sugar beet harvest is 82.9% complete, with 86,200 hectares cleared. Farmers harvested over 4.1 million tonnes of sugar beet, with yields averaging 481 centners per hectare.
Belarus also cropped almost 2.3 million tonnes of grain maize, with yields amounting to 78.7 centners per hectare. A total of 290,200 hectares of areas planted to grain maize were harvested (or 93.9% of the target). More than 21.1 million tonnes of maize green mass with yields of 227 centners per hectare were removed. Maize for silage and green fodder was harvested on the area of 932,900 hectares (or 98.9% of the harvested area).
The harvesting of grass fodder continues. Over 9.4 million tonnes of forage units (95.8% of the target) have been harvested so far.
