Belarus’ first deputy foreign minister receives ambassadors’ copies of credentials

Belarusian First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lukashevich received copies of credentials from the ambassadors of Algeria, Burundi, Kuwait and Mauritania, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting with Ambassador of Algeria to the Russian Federation with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of Belarus Boumédiène Guennad, the parties praised the intensification of bilateral political dialogue and trade and economic cooperation in 2024. The parties also confirmed interest in holding the first meeting of the joint Belarusian-Algerian intergovernmental commission and discussed the schedule of visits for the near future.

At the meeting with Ambassador Joseph Nkurunziza of Burundi to the Russian Federation with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of Belarus the parties discussed ways of intensifying cooperation between Belarus and Burundi in the political, trade, economic, humanitarian and other areas as well as interaction in international platforms and expanding the legal framework of bilateral relations.

Sergei Lukashevich and Ambassador of Kuwait to the Russian Federation with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of Belarus Rashed Hammad Al-Adwani discussed the state and prospects of bilateral political, economic and investment cooperation, as well as prospects of implementing joint projects in the humanitarian sector. The parties reaffirmed their readiness to continue the mutually respectful dialogue and active interaction between the foreign ministries.

During the meeting with Deman Mohamed Hamar, Ambassador of Mauritania to the Russian Federation with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of Belarus, the parties emphasized the need to intensify bilateral cooperation, to maintain an active dialogue on multilateral platforms and between foreign ministries, and also to develop the legal framework.
