Braslav. The fire hazard season continues

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs Careless handling of fire, faulty heating equipment, and violations of the operating regulations of the drying installation have led to the last three fires in the Braslav district. All of them occurred in the territory of the Teterkovsky rural council. 

    

Today, representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations met with the residents of the village of Milki. The predominant age of the local residents is over fifty. All are conscious and attentive. The Ministry of Emergency Situations staff provided information on the state of fire safety in the region. Using a presentation, they discussed the main causes of fires. They elaborated on the requirements for heating and electrical equipment. They reminded about the importance of installing autonomous fire alarms in residential premises. They explained the rules for building bonfires and burning waste, what distances to maintain, what to have on hand in case of fire, and reminded about the priority actions upon discovering a fire, warning against entrusting children with the control of waste burning, as well as using flammable liquids for ignition. They reminded the emergency service phone numbers and distributed informational leaflets.
