Braslav. Warning of Danger

Ministry of Emergency Situations informs Since the beginning of the year, there have already been 4 fires in the Braslav district, resulting in one fatality. The likely cause of death is reported to be careless handling of fire while smoking by the homeowner. It is known that this risk affects a category of citizens leading an immoral lifestyle and abusing alcoholic beverages. In order to prevent fires and fatalities, including those caused by smoking, preventive work with the population continues in the Braslav district, during which the activities of inspection commissions in the district are being intensified. This week, preventive activities were carried out in the Druyevskiy rural council.

 
– To prevent the occurrence of a fire, it is essential to strictly adhere to fire safety rules, - noted the propaganda inspector of the Braslav District Department for Emergency Situations Vadim Sorokin during visits to each household. The members of the inspection commission paid great attention to the condition of heating appliances, as well as the presence and compliance of pre-heating sheets.

The presence of autonomous fire alarms in households remains relevant. Reminding citizens of the importance of having this device, rescuers explain that every year in the Republic of Belarus, about 200 people are saved due to the presence of an autonomous fire alarm in their homes.

Additionally, while visiting households, preventive entities reminded that spring is just around the corner, which means it will soon be time for homeowners to begin cleaning and improving their yard areas. Rescuers strongly recommend not to clutter their yards and firmly warn against the burning of dry vegetation.
