A special preventive event "Green Shield" will take place in the Braslav District from April 3 to April 8, 2026.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs The aim is to prevent fires in natural ecosystems and minimize their consequences, reduce the number of fatalities and injuries from fires, and raise the level of safety culture among the population.

Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will organize raid activities aimed at identifying potentially fire hazardous areas and will conduct preventive explanatory talks with residents.

In addition, employees of the district emergency department will organize presentations in labor collectives and rural community meetings. During the meetings, rescuers will remind staff of organizations and residents about the rules for safe campfire use and waste burning.

As of April 3, 2026, there have been 10 fires registered in natural ecosystems in the district.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations urges compliance with fire safety rules when tidying up yards and land plots. If you witness the burning of dry vegetation or any other emergency situation, call 101 or 112!
