With care for people with disabilities

As part of the second stage of the republican campaign "Safety – in Every Home!", employees of the Braslaŭ District Department for Emergency Situations visited the department for the elderly and disabled of the Braslaŭ Territorial Center for Social Services.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Deputy Head of the Braslaŭ Department of Emergency Situations, Mikhail Rikoun, reported on the fire situation in the district and region and provided examples of fires that occurred in the area. Then, with the help of the presentation "The Secret of Safety", the rescuers explained how to make the warmth of one's home safe, how to properly use electrical appliances, and together they analyzed mistakes in the operation of stove heating. The rescuers also reminded everyone of the actions to take in case of a fire and the emergency service contact numbers. They discussed the main violations of fire safety rules that can be found in apartments. Additionally, the employees of the district emergency department talked about the "Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus" application, advising everyone to install it, as mobile phones have long become an integral part of modern life, and it would be quite beneficial to have such a "helper" in one's pocket by installing this application.

The rescuers paid special attention to the presence of an autonomous fire alarm in the house, reminding everyone present that it should be installed in every living room, and they also explained how to maintain the fire alarm to ensure it reliably protects the homeowner's peace for a long time.
