Official forgery
The Prosecutor's Office of the Braslav District supported the state prosecution in court in a criminal case against the director, chief livestock specialist, and chief veterinarian of an agricultural enterprise.
As established during the court investigation, the director, chief livestock specialist, and chief veterinarian of the agricultural enterprise, acting in collusion, knowing about the actual shortfall of 134 heads of cattle, entered false information into the reporting documentation to conceal improper work in the livestock sector, including false data about the movement and availability of animals on farms, maintaining the quantitative indicators of cattle at the level of similar reporting periods of previous years, and distorting the data of state statistical reporting on the state of livestock at the enterprise, as well as to conceal facts of cattle sales in the agricultural enterprise to commercial structures.
Furthermore, the director of the enterprise repeatedly gave illegal oral instructions to her subordinate, the chief livestock specialist, not to reflect in the primary accounting documents on the movement of cattle and in the livestock reporting of the enterprise the facts of cattle deaths, as well as instructions for documenting the facts of cattle sales to commercial structures for the employees of the agricultural enterprise.
In turn, the chief livestock specialist of the agricultural enterprise prepared and submitted false information in official documents to reduce the number of missing heads of cattle, and suggested that employees write fictitious applications for the purchase of cattle.
The chief veterinarian of the enterprise, knowing about the submission of false information in a number of acts for the sale of cattle to the population to conceal the facts of cattle deaths, signed them as a member of the commission for the disposal of cattle, and also personally reflected in separate acts for the sale of cattle in the column "veterinarian's conclusion" false information about the alleged presence of diseases in the sold animals that hindered their further breeding, with the aim of creating the appearance of a lawful nature of the sale of these animals.
The accused L., T., L., fully admitted their guilt and expressed remorse for their actions.
Considering the evidence presented by the state prosecutor, the court of the Braslav District issued a guilty verdict. Based on part 2 of Article 427 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, the accused L., T., L. were sentenced to a penalty of restriction of freedom without sending to an open-type correctional institution for a period of 2 years, with deprivation of the right to hold positions related to the performance of organizational and administrative duties for a period of 2 years.
The provisions of the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Amnesty in Connection with the Day of National Unity" dated 07.12.2022 No. 220-Z were applied, and the accused were partially released for a period of 1 year from the imposed penalty of restriction of freedom without sending to an open-type correctional institution.
The court's verdict has not entered into legal force and may be appealed and contested in the appellate procedure.
