The Sports Sector of the Braslaŭ District Executive Committee is a structural subdivision of the Braslaŭ District Executive Committee.
The Sports Sector ensures the implementation of a unified state policy in the field of physical culture and sports in the territory of the Braslaŭ District.
The Sports Sector coordinates the activities of state organizations whose property is owned by the Braslaŭ District:
1. Institution "Children and Youth Sports School of the Braslaŭ District"
2. State Institution "District Physical Culture and Sports Club 'Drivyatich'"
The tasks of the sector are:
- implementation of state regulation and management in the field of physical culture and sports;
- coordination of ideological work in the field of physical culture and sports, including defining comprehensive approaches to its implementation in subordinate organizations, in interaction with industry trade unions and other public associations;
- leadership in the preparation of sports reserves, high-class athletes, including coordination of activities for organizing the training process aimed at preparing sports reserves and high-class athletes in the organizations of physical culture and sports of the Braslaŭ District;
- taking measures jointly with the Department of Sports of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, other sectors, departments of the Braslaŭ District Executive Committee to improve the activities for the development of physical culture and sports;
- implementation of a scientifically grounded system of physical education and health improvement for the population, development of children's and youth sports, coordination of physical culture and sports work among persons with disabilities;
- improvement of the system of scientific and methodological support for activities in the field of physical culture and sports;
- organization and conduct of district, regional, republican, and international physical culture and health improvement and mass sports events on the territory of the district;
- ensuring the preparation of district teams in sports and their participation in regional, republican, and international sports events;
- promotion of a healthy lifestyle among the population;
- assistance to public associations whose activities are aimed at the development of physical culture and sports;
- control over the development of physical culture and sports in organizations of the district regardless of departmental subordination and ownership;
- control over compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus on physical culture and sports in the territory of the district by sports and other organizations, educational institutions regardless of departmental subordination and ownership.
