The campaign "With Care for the Safety of the Small Homeland" has commenced.
Pensioners are one of the most important categories of the population, which is under the close attention of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. To ensure safety and reduce the number of fire incidents involving them, various forms of outreach are employed, one of which is the republican campaign "Caring for the Safety of the Small Homeland", aimed at preventing fires due to careless handling of fire and the deaths of elderly individuals.
It will take place in two stages: the first from August 1 to August 19, and the second from September 19 to October 1. Many interesting activities are planned during these stages.
Changing the sphere of activity and becoming a designer for a while will be possible through the competition for the best design of a household plot and agro-estate "Landscape Design of the Ministry of Emergency Situations". When creating a safe area, imagination knows no bounds: the installation of decorative elements, the creation of compositions from forged products, crafts, entire art objects, and small sculptures, the design of flower beds, and artistic trimming of lawns – all of this can easily find its place in the yard. The use of various materials and forms, along with a creative approach to creating landscape masterpieces, will allow participants to showcase their aesthetic sense, inevitably leading to the coveted victory.
If it seems that traditional mail is a relic of the past, that is a significant misconception. Our grandmothers and grandfathers continue to actively use this service and experience the same emotions as before – a pleasant thrill and slight excitement upon receiving cherished mail. That is why the Ministry organizes the mailing of not only safe correspondence but also parcels, inside which elderly individuals will find items that can enhance their safety. Thus, no address will be overlooked.
Chastushki are the most beloved and quoted form of folk art. Even in a quatrain, the entire essence of the theme is abundantly captured. Rescuers contribute their part and will hold the traditional competition for pensioners "Safety Chastushki".
A special vehicle from the Ministry of Emergency Situations will broadcast safety messages regarding traffic, traveling through rural settlements to convey short preventive texts to the population via loudspeaker. Additionally, rescuers will work along the route of mobile shops through the project "Safety Mobile Shop". Together with activists and representatives of interested organizations, they will visit settlements where interactive platforms will be set up at the stopping points of mobile stores, conduct master classes on first aid, and provide thematic information on products. Thus, residents of even the most remote areas will not be left out and will be able to participate in events organized by the rescuers.
Elderly individuals can demonstrate that their life experience and wisdom are key to safety. In the competition "Super Granny of the Ministry of Emergency Situations", participants must prepare a "Business Card", where they share information about themselves and their hobbies with elements of safety, fire prevention, and emergency situations, "Safety Chastushki", "Useful Tips from Granny", prepare a dish for the Ministry of Emergency Situations competition "Granny's Safety Recipes", and much more to earn the honorary title of "Super Granny".
In rural settlements and district centers, thematic "Safety Fairs" will be held in open areas, where rescuers have provided numerous "activation zones": "Pump It Out - Don't Let It Down", "Fire Shield", "Home Violations", "Principle of Operation of a Fire Extinguisher", "Bugs and Spiders", "Stoves and Benches", "Safe Electrician", and many others. Participants can test their physical fitness in games and relays, learn more about the Ministry of Emergency Situations at the exhibition of fire and rescue equipment, taste delicious porridge at the field kitchen, and check their health while learning first aid in the zone of workers from the Belarusian Red Cross Society. Bright impressions on this day will be enhanced by thematic photo zones, a brass band, and giant puppets.
