Assault on the life and health of another person poses an increased public danger. Such assaults become even more dangerous when they are used as a means of resolving interpersonal conflicts and become a norm in relationships with people.

The district prosecutor's office supported the state prosecution in the court of the Braslav district in a criminal case against a resident of the Braslav district, T., accused of committing a crime under part 1 of Article 139 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus – intentional unlawful deprivation of another person's life (murder).

During the court investigation, it was established that on one of the days in December of last year, two friends, T. and R., decided to drink. Meeting in the afternoon, they went to a store where they bought several bottles of vodka, after which they went to R.'s home. There, they began to consume alcohol, periodically running for "refills." At some point, a conflict arose between T. and R. due to the fact that in November the accused had given R.'s wife 50 rubles for providing a certain service. She, in turn, did not perform this service and did not return the money to T. Remembering this circumstance, the accused grabbed a knife from the table and stabbed R. in the abdomen. From the injuries sustained, R. died at the scene.

In the court session, T. fully admitted his guilt in the murder of R., but due to the large amount of alcohol consumed that day, he poorly remembers the details of what happened. The only witness to the events was the wife of the deceased, who detailed the circumstances of T.'s crime during the court session. Together with numerous expert conclusions, protocols of operational-search activities, investigative actions, physical evidence, and other written materials of the case, thoroughly examined during the court investigation, T.'s guilt in the murder of R. was proven in full.

Taking into account the position of the state prosecution, the court found T. guilty of committing a crime under part 1 of Article 139 of the Criminal Code and sentenced him to 8 years of imprisonment to be served in a correctional colony under strict conditions.

The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
