The Department of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Braslav District Executive Committee (hereinafter referred to as the department) is a territorial body of state administration that ensures the implementation of state policy on issues related to promoting employment, social protection, labor remuneration and safety, pension provision, demographic security, social partnership, state social services, and social support for the population, improving the socio-economic conditions of family life, ensuring equal rights and opportunities for men and women, and social guarantees for the population in the territory of the Braslav District.
The administration, in accordance with the tasks assigned to it and within its competence, analyzes the state of payment systems, working conditions and labor protection, relations in the labor sphere, pension provision, social protection of elderly citizens living alone, veterans of war and labor, persons with disabilities, internationalist soldiers, and their family members; citizens affected by the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant disaster, and other categories of citizens in need of social support, coordinates and controls the work on the timely payment of wages, as well as benefits for families raising children.
Organizes work to improve working conditions and labor protection, ensures compliance with requirements for providing safe working conditions, develops a district program on these issues, and monitors its implementation; provides organizational and methodological assistance to employers on issues related to pension legislation and conducts explanatory work among the population of the district regarding pension legislation, considers citizens' appeals in accordance with the law, and organizes their receptions.
