Lesson "Memory"
On March 20, Deputy Prosecutor of the District E.S. Isakova participated in the Memory Lesson dedicated to the tragedy in the village of Khatyn, where she spoke to students of grades 5-9 of the State Educational Institution "Braslav Gymnasium" on the issue of genocide against the Belarusian people.
In her speech, E.S. Isakova elaborated on the punitive operations "Fritz" and "Nuremberg" in the Braslav region, during which the villages of Labetski and Repovshchina were completely destroyed and have not been restored to this day. The Deputy Prosecutor also spoke about the sites of mass extermination of citizens in the area, provided excerpts from the interrogation protocols of the policemen of the Braslav police who participated in the execution of prisoners of the Braslav ghetto, and discussed the results of the investigation into the criminal case regarding the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War.
"The evidence obtained during the investigation of the criminal case allows us to assert that the scale of the tragedy of the Belarusian people is significantly greater than previously assumed. The results of the investigation into the criminal case regarding the genocide of the Belarusian people take on special significance on the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory," noted Deputy Prosecutor E.S. Isakova in her speech.
