In Braslav, the results of the district New Year review-competition have been summarized.
Every year, around mid-December, the streets of Braslav and the settlements of the district begin to sparkle with a multitude of colorful lights. Administrative buildings of organizations and institutions are transformed, festive decorations appear on the facades and inside large and small shops, and the New Year spirit is created by decorations on the windows of houses. It seems that the very air is saturated with the spirit of celebration and anticipation of miracles. And this fairy tale lasts until mid-January.
Just in time for the summary of the review-competition for the best New Year artistic decoration of buildings and adjacent territories. This, by the way, is another pleasant tradition that is repeated year after year in the Braslav region. The organizers of the competition were the district executive committee and the district organization of the RОО "Belaya Rus'". When summarizing the results, artistic design, lighting and thematic decoration, and, of course, a creative and unconventional approach were evaluated. Everyone tried, the best won. The celebration for the participants took place on Monday at the district executive committee.
Thus, in the competition for the best New Year decoration, diplomas of winners were awarded to the social and pedagogical center, LLC "Levol Group", and the Krot family from the village of Haileshy of the Akhremovetskiy village council. The audience's sympathy prize among citizens was awarded to the Pomyaly family from the village of Yodlovichi of the Opsov village council and the Tavkin family from Braslav, while among legal entities – the Braslav Central District Hospital.
In the competition "A Fairy Tale Comes to Us 2026" in the nomination "New Year Car Tuning", the winner was the branch of DEU - 34, the second place went to the Opsov Secondary School, and the third – to the branch of "Braslavgaz". In the nomination "Lights of Braslav City", the best was the Center for Ensuring the Activities of Budget Organizations and State Authorities of the Braslav District, the National Park "Braslav Lakes" took second place, and the third was shared between the branch of DRSU - 142 and the Vidzov Secondary School. The audience's sympathy prize was won by the territorial center for social services.
Another nomination that impressed visitors at the Christmas tree opening ceremony with its approach and implementation was "Ice Show" (best Grandfather Frost and Snow Maiden). Here, too, the cheese production workshop won, the second place was secured by Secondary School No. 2 named after Z. E. Kozhar, and the third – by the National Park "Braslav Lakes" and the branch of DEU - 34.
Winners and prize-winners of the competitions were awarded diplomas and valuable gifts, as well as sincere gratitude from the residents of Braslav for creating a real fairy tale, creative photo zones, and an unforgettable festive atmosphere.
Separately, the residents of the district and its guests noted our beauty—the Christmas tree in the square, which year after year looks no worse than the capital's trees.
