During the Easter holiday, do not forget the safety rules!

This year, Belarusians will celebrate the Bright Resurrection of Christ on April 20. An integral part of the Easter celebrations will be kulich, which will be carefully baked in every home the day before, and thousands of candles will be lit in joyful celebration. To ensure that this bright day is not overshadowed by emergencies, please follow safety measures!

When preparing food and using gas and electric appliances, strictly adhere to the rules of their operation.

Do not forget about the danger of lit candles; they should be kept away from clothing and flammable materials. Also, do not leave lit candles unattended.

On Easter day, a large number of people gather in churches.

In places where Easter services are held, the Ministry of Emergency Situations will organize duty personnel to ensure fire safety. However, every parishioner should also remember: when lighting candles from candle holders, long sleeves of clothing should be rolled up; hold a piece of paper or a handkerchief under the candle to prevent hot wax from dripping onto your skin, and to avoid instinctively jerking your hand and dropping the burning candle onto your clothing; securely tie back scarves and remove hair to reduce the risk of candle flames catching on them when bending your head; keep an eye on children; try to maintain a safe distance from other parishioners so that the flame from a neighboring candle does not reach you; in case of clothing catching fire, quickly remove it, try to extinguish it with a fire extinguisher or cover it with a thick material; familiarize yourself with the layout of the church building to know the evacuation routes, which should be multiple, and ensure all exit doors are open; in case of fire alarm activation and fire notification, do not panic, leave the hall quickly, but without creating panic or a stampede.
